Shipyard

Here is an introduction to my current project, One capture the flag multiplayer map, and one deathmatch map. These are being built for Unreal Tournament using the Unreal Editor. For this first post, I will be showing the initial designs and how they have evolved to this point as well as in development pictures. The first map that I will be showing is titled "Space Port", and takes place in and around the maintenance area of a spaceport near a large town on a distant planet. The game mode showcased here is Capture the Flag. The added element for this map is the walker, which is a large robot that the players will be able to control.

Asteroid Mine

The deathmatch map that I am creating takes place in a hollowed-out asteroid, with a meteor strike event that can be triggered on anyone brave enough to go for the Lightning gun outside the protection of the mine proper. This map is focused on the circular flow between three main levels with multiple options for traversal, be it jump pads, teleporters, or lifts.  The emphasis of this map is to keep the players moving and have fast-paced action in memorable locals. I drew inspiration from Halo 5, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II, and The Expanse.
